We offer specialized training for people with disabilities to help them train their service dogs to perform specific tasks that can assist them with their daily activities.
Our trainers work closely with the owner to identify the specific tasks that their service dog needs to perform, and we develop a customized training plan to help the dog learn how to perform those tasks reliably and consistently. Some examples of tasks that we can train service dogs to perform include retrieving items off the floor, opening and closing doors, turning on and off lights, providing balance and stability, and more.
We utilize clear and consistent methods to train the service dog, which includes using voice commands, treats, and positive reinforcement to reward the dog for performing the desired behavior. Our trainers also work closely with the owner to ensure that they are able to effectively communicate with their service dog and reinforce positive behaviors outside of the training sessions.
Our specialized training for people with disabilities is designed to help them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. By training their service dog to perform specific tasks, they are able to rely on their dog to assist them with daily activities and tasks, and can live more independently with greater confidence and security.
